Book Signing Photos

Here are pictures that were taken at the book signing hosted by Huddleston Floral in Fayetteville on November 16. I had a difficult time believing I had actually written a book, but here's the proof. You can see how thrilled I was. I had never signed a book before.

10:45 A.M. It's almost SHOWTIME!!

The signing started at 11:00. People were arriving at 10:50. What a relief....

Elizabeth Dunn

Elizabeth was my neighbor when I was a teenager. We've been friends since the 1950s. I sang Elvis songs to her infant daughter, Anna.

Holding the camera is Carolyn Cary, feature writer with The Citizen News. Am I a celebrity, or what?

Betsy was my neighbor in the 80s. She made it possible for my enrollment in real estate classes (after the deadline). When she read my manuscript for the book, she badgered me until I had added 15,000 more words. Thank you, Betsy.

Below are friends, Dot McElroy and her son, Donny. Dot is retired. Donny is a salesman who is very good at public relations.

BARNES & NOBLE BOOK SIGNING
DECEMBER 8, 2001

The Barnes & Noble booksigning on December 8 was a success. Friends came from miles around -- Sandy drove down from Lake Alatoona. It was quite different from my first booksigning at Huddleston Floral where those attending were for the most part hometown friends and family and were there by invitation.

At Barnes & Noble, I met a number of people I had never met before (and surprisingly, quite a few of them purchased my book!!)

I made my own poster for the occasion. It was at least a quarter inch off center, but I believe I'm the only one who noticed. Making a poster was a lot of fun. Did you know that a can of adhesive costs $10.95? Neither did I. Only parents whose children have school projects would know about things like adhesive. I have plenty left over, so if you need a poster made, send me an e-mail.

I would like to thank all those who attended and purchased a copy of In His Corner: Will the Real Billy Joe Please Stand.
